Form 6 is the form with you can enter your name in electoral roll. The Indian government has issued the form in all the official languages. There is an option to apply for voter card online, it is always a better and hassle-free way to apply. But if you choose to opt for using offline then you will need to have the Form 6 in your regional language. Form 6 is just an application form, which includes details of your residence and your photo. It is addressed to electoral registrar officer.
What documents will I need applying with Form 6?
Electoral commission of India demands the basic identity documents along with the proof of residence. The identity documents can be any of the following.
- Adhar Card
- Driving Licence
- PAN Card
The proof of residence can be any of the following.
- Ration Card
- Light bill
- Telephone bill
Make sure you have xerox copies of the above-mentioned documents. It is advisable to have them self-attested.
